About the Artist
The strong women in my family were talented, resourceful, unique, apron-wearing seamstresses, tailors, furriers, cooks and garden-lovers who descended from a long tradition of people obsessed with creating.
The creative process can be a curse! Sometimes it just takes some stepping away from my tools and tables to the local library, museum, thrift shop, photo album--or just into my garden--for inspiration.
I prefer three dimensional work in fibers, textiles or paper. Wool is my latest fetish. It is such a forgiving fiber. I also try to use recycled materials
as much as I can.
